Brians artistic practice questions the boundaries between contemporary culture and the construct of nature, and inquires as to how elements of artificiality and technology compound and distort these relationships. Using a range of technologies in photography, video, and taxidermy he confronts the viewer with images that reside on the uncomfortable line of the uncanny: between the natural and technological, the living and the automaton.
