The Marketing Coordinator plays a central role in all of the marketing and public relations efforts at Ex’pression College for Digital Arts. The Marketing Coordinator assists the department in all communication, marketing, and promotional efforts. Our ideal candidate is a good communicator, who shows initiative, and works well independently, but is also a strong team player. The Marketing Coordinator works across many different departments and job functions – from communications, to copyrighting, event planning, reporting, and some design, this candidate is well-rounded and thrives in a creative atmosphere.
Responsibilities
Social Media and Marketing – Develop and maintain social media and web presence, including monitoring, content, strategy and reporting.
Blog & Newsletter – Develop and create content for monthly newsletter and regular blog entries for the “All Access” blog.
Assist with design work as needed – includes TV slides, flyers, forms, print collateral under the direction of the Marketing Director and Design Director.
Event Coordination – Coordinate and provide support for admissions and marketing events, such as Open House, Ex’pression Sessions, Demos, workshops, outside events/partnerships. Coordination includes logistics, event forms, communication and promotion.
Various Marketing Projects – Support other marketing/admissions department initiatives and school related projects such as public relations, research, archiving student work, event planning and execution, website improvement, presentations, reports, etc., as determined by the Director of Marketing.
The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and communication skills, with a background in marketing, public relations and/or event coordination. Must have knowledge of social media platforms and be comfortable using Facebook, twitter, vimeo, youtube, etc. The candidate should possess some design skills and be comfortable working in Photoshop and Illustrator to assist with marketing collateral and in-house design projects. Must be comfortable with both PC and MAC platforms with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Keynote a plus). Web knowledge (html/css), wordpress, and experience working in digital video/imagery is also a plus. We are looking for a candidate with a strong sense of teamwork with a positive attitude, who is also interested in working in a creative field/environment.
Education and/or Experience Required
Bachelor’s Degree required and at least 2+ years of experience working in a related field (marketing, public relations, communications).
