Visual Arts Career Development/Industry Relations

Welcome to the Career Development Department for Visual Arts! Here is the biography of our Director of Career Development/Industry Relations, Chryssa Sanders. Read on to find out more about just a few of the services our department offers students and alumni.

Several times a year we draw from our extensive roster of professional visual industry contacts to speak with our students for Insider’s Day. During this intimate setting our guests will discuss the current trends, how to find work in the industry, and answer questions for students about working environments and styles.

Career Workshops are held regularly to answer questions, provide support and assist in preparing students for career choices and overall job search. We also hold open office hours twice a month for all students to meet with us and discuss their career paths. In addition, we maintain student job boards with many job listings and periodically bring employers on campus to interview students and do reel reviews.

Sound Arts Career Development/Industry Relations

Welcome to the Career Development/Industry Relations Department for Sound Arts! Click here for a biography of our Sr. Director of Career Development/Industry Relations, Shiloh Hobel. We are excited to share success stories of recent graduates as examples of what our students are accomplishing in the workplace.

Other services we offer are Insider’s Days, Mentorship Program and Career Workshops. Several times a year we draw from our extensive roster of professional audio industry contacts to speak with our students for Insider’s Day. During this intimate setting our guests will discuss the current trends and cutting edge technologies, and focus on the where and how, of finding a job, and keeping it. This is a perfect time for our students to ask questions, stay informed and begin networking while right here on campus.

In an effort to acknowledge students that have been selected for academic excellence, we reach out to industry professionals that are interested in giving back as a mentor. Students are paired with a mentor to discuss fields of interest therefore allowing for additional learning and networking opportunities.
